Tricia Clarke, CMP, CED, DES, Owner & Chief Event Officer

Tricia Clarke is an event curator and master project manager.
After working as a Music Editor and Broadcast Journalist at The Voice and BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra in the UK for several years, she moved to the US in 2005 and became an editor at National Public Radio (NPR).

 In 2013, Tricia leveraged her communication skills and transitioned from international journalism to event management and has worked on many high-level events in the Baltimore and DMV area including the Associated Black Charities Gala, and Baltimore’s African American Festival as well as coordinating meetings for companies like CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Johns Hopkins University and Harford Community College.

 She has also managed and executed large, multi-day conferences for several national non- profits and professional associations including the Chesapeake Human Resources Association, the International Association of Clinical Research Nurses and is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

 In 2014 the idea for Crave Culture Events, LLC, a full-service, event management company specializing in curated diversity and inclusion experiences, was birthed, and then fully realized in January 2022.

 She has since helped various companies execute intentional and inclusive networking and community events as well as promote their DEI initiatives and programming. Previous clients include the National Association of Corporate Directors, Path Forward Consulting and College Bound Parenting.

 Her most recent projects included fostering connection with members of The 3rd, a non-profit business incubator and co-working space for women of color entrepreneurs, through online and in-person event experiences and coordinating the 2023 Maryland Land Conservation Conference for the Forever Maryland Foundation.

 She currently executes fundraising events and programming for the Merriweather Arts & Culture Center, the Maryland Business Opportunity Center and the National Association of Black Engineers.

 Tricia is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), a Certified Event Designer (CED) and a Digital Event Strategist (DES). She has earned the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate offered by the University of South Florida and the Certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship offered by Cornell University. She is also a graduate of the first Open Institute for Black Women Entrepreneur Excellence cohort, led by TEDCO.
